Zweifel Art Glass is hand blown by Craig Zweifel in his Oregon studio.  Every piece is created individually by Zweifel and has subtle variations in color, shape and texture.  Al pieces are free blown--no molds or machines are used.  The distinctive iridescent colors are the result of Zwiefel's signature process, which fuses silver to the molten glass, and then crystallizes the surface.  The colors are created by light reacting to this texture of microscopic silver silicate crystals.  The patterns are overlays of hot glass , melted in over the silver surface.  When cooled, the glass may be faceted and finished by Anny, and each piece is signed upon completion.
